Star Ocean The Divine Force: Gameplay and Kinetic Assault explained in a 6 min video
Despite an absence from gamescom this year, Square Enix still wanted to get noticed in the media with Star Ocean The Divine Force, which is scheduled for release next fall. A big video of almost 7 minutes has just been released to give us a nice debrief of what awaits us in this Japanese RPG. English commentary and French subtitles in support, it is therefore a mission report that is offered to us, in order to explain to us to begin with the story which evokes the destruction of a vessel of the Pagalactic Federation. The DUMA module is also presented, which is equipped with an advanced artificial intelligence, capable of being aware of its existence. It is therefore a form of life, despite its robotic appearance, which will accompany Raymond, Laetitia and their companions.

Thanks to DUMA, our heroes can have access to specific skills and in particular to the kinetic assault (AC), an aerial attack which allows to dive down on the enemies. It's kind of the cheat feature of the game, since the AC can take an opponent by surprise with an immediate attack. It will not be too much given the fairly large number of enemies on the screen, especially since they will be ruthless. But that's not all, among the capabilities offered to players, it is possible to fly away in the game (yes, yes!), anywhere, in nature or even in the middle of town. It is even the best means of transport for traversing entire plains, and unearthing objects hidden high up. DUMA also offers the possibility of launching an area analysis to search for items. We let you discover the rest and we remind you that Star Ocean: The Divine Force will be released on October 27 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series, PS4 and Xbox One.
