The Callisto Protocol: full of info, new images, a mechanic from Dead Space has been taken over

As promised, Game Informer has begun distilling never-before-seen details about The Callisto Protocol, the one everyone already considers the heir to Dead Space. Logical, since its creator is none other than Glen Schofield, the father of Isaac Clarke. Moreover, the new images unveiled by our colleagues - and relayed generously by Okami Games on Twitter - almost give the impression of dealing with a kind of Dead Space 4 as the artistic direction seems similar, that is to say say both dirty and dark. The same goes for the Biophages - the enemies that the game's hero, Jacob, will have to face: their look is reminiscent of the Necromorphs, minus the blades. As for the outfit worn by the protagonist, it also reminds us of what we saw a few years ago.

The resemblance between the two games even extends to the gameplay, since we learn that our character will have an ability called "GRP". Basically, he will be able to move objects from a distance just like Isaac Clarke could with telekinesis. As for the combat system, unsurprisingly, we are told that there will be a way to fight hand-to-hand and to use weapons to eliminate creatures from a distance. Finally, it is indicated that The Callisto Protocol - so far announced on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PC and PS5 - will also be released on Xbox One and PS4.
