The Callisto Protocol: no 60fps like Gotham Knights? The developer's response
A few days ago, we learned that Gotham Knights would not have a “Performance” mode allowing it to run at 60fps on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PS5. "Because of the different types of features we have in our game, like providing a fully self-contained co-op experience in our highly detailed open world, it's not as easy to drop the resolution and get a higher FPS, had explained Fleur Marty, the producer of the game. This is the reason why our game does not have an option to choose between performance or quality, and it will run at 30fps on consoles.

We would love to inform you all that we will be shipping globally on December 2nd. And yes, we'll have a 60 FPS performance mode.

Wink or not, Striking Distance Studios recently tweeted to reassure those eagerly awaiting the release of The Callisto Protocol. "Yes, there will be a 'Performance' mode so that the game runs at 60fps", can we read. The comparison may seem daring given that Gotham Knights is an open-world, while Glen Schofield's survival horror (both studio boss and creator of Dead Space) looks more linear. In any case, the players welcomed the news with a smile and are now looking forward to December 2 (no, the game has not been postponed to February 12, 2023, contrary to what the Epic Games Store has indicated in recent hours), date on which The Callisto Protocol will land on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC therefore, but also on PS4 and Xbox One.
