Forza Horizon 5's rarest cars are on every collector's to-do list, and they're as hard to get as you might imagine. There are several vehicles in the game that cost gargantuan sums, but they cannot simply be purchased on Autoshow or Auction.
This guide will list some of the rarest cars in Forza Horizon 5 and explain how to unlock them all. A few of these cars can be very difficult to obtain due to the nature of their rewards, but since they are very valuable in the market, finalists will want to do everything possible to obtain them.
The rarest cars in Forza Horizon 5
Ferrari GTO 250
The rarest car in Forza Horizon 5 is also the most expensive vehicle in the game at 50 million credits. This is not at all surprising, since this car cannot be bought or acquired in any way other than finding it in the wilds of Mexico.
You will find the Ferrari 250 GTO on the East Coast inside a barn located in Los Jardines (see the marker on the map above for the exact location of the barn). Luckily, there's also a fast travel point nearby, so you won't have any trouble getting there.
Mercedes-Benz W154
This pre-war German racing car is a real gem for all lovers of vintage vehicles. Although it cannot compare to the newer models in terms of speed and other parameters, it is still one of the rarest and most unique cars in Forza Horizon 5.
There's only one way to get this car, and that's to complete the entire Mercedes-Benz car collection. This means that you must collect all 23 Mercedes-Benz vehicles available in the game in order to unlock the W154 model.
Ford GT40 Mk I
Here is another vintage racing car, which was produced in the USA in 1964. The same rule applies here, and you must collect all 58 Ford vehicles in order to receive the GT40 Mk I as a reward for achievement.
That's a lot of cars and it might take you a while to get them all. If you're wondering if it's all worth it, then consider the price of the GT40 Mk I in Forza Horizon 5, which is 11 million credits, and that's a lot of money. As always, you can sell it later through the Auction House.
Ferrari F40 Competition
Beware of another extremely rare Ferrari model that is hidden in a barn on the southeast coast of Mexico.
You will need to drive to the Pantano de la Selva location and follow to the location indicated by the marker on the map above, or quickly drive to the Tulum location and drive west to until you reach the desired location.
Either way, the Ferrari F40 must be in any race car connoisseur's garage, so go get this car doll.
Ferrari LaFerrari
Besides the two models hidden in the barns, Ferrari also has its own car collector's reward in the form of Ferrari LaFerrari. In order to unlock this unique car, you must collect all 26 Ferrari cars available in Forza Horizon 5.
You can buy most of these cars at the Auto Show, and you can earn three of them by earning the following accolades:
- Wheels of Experience (Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale)
- An Elite Class (Ferrari 430 Scuderia)
- Mexico's fastest photographer (Ferrari GTC4Lusso)
Lamborghini Reventon
The last car collector reward vehicle on our list is Lamborghini Reventon. Luckily, there aren't many cars to collect like there are with Ford or Ferrari. You will need to get 16 Lamborghini vehicles to unlock this car.
Again, most Lamborghini models can be purchased through Autoshow, and two cars can be unlocked by completing the following accolades:
- Eliminate Spree (Lamborghini Aventador Superveloce)
- Rampage (Lamborghini Urus)
Lamborghini Diablo GTR
Although there are not many cars in the Lamborghini collection, the Diablo GTR model cannot be purchased or unlocked during accolades. But you still need it if you want to unlock the Reventon model mentioned above.
You can unlock Lamborghini Diablo GTR only through the car mastery perk for Lamborghini Diablo SV. Follow these steps to unlock it:
You can unlock car mastery perks by using skill points that can be earned through skill chains, which are acquired by performing a series of speed tricks on the road while driving.
