Ubisoft cancels Splinter Cell VR and Ghost Recon Frontline for no reason, players are worried

In addition to the announced delay for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Ubisoft has other bad news to share with us in the publication of its financial results. Several titles, however revealed during important events such as E3, have been purely and simply canceled. This is indeed the case of Ghost Recon Frontline, a free-to-play version which had not delighted the players during its reveal, but also Splinter Cell VR, which however crystallized the return of Sam Fisher other than in a collab' or a skin. This is all the more surprising since this Splinter Cell in virtual reality was developed in partnership with Meta, which could consolidate its upcoming arrival. Of course, no reason was mentioned in this financial report, but it is certain that Ubisoft has been looking for a new identity for a few years now. Of course, there is this game-service transition which is materializing, but also these takeover rumors which also seem to freeze any new attempt which could risk causing the company led by Yves Guillemot to lose value... In all cases, sad news for Agent Fisher who will have to wait a few more years before returning to the front of the stage.
