Assassin's Creed Mirage: the images of the new episode have leaked, there will be Ali Baba and the 40 thieves

What could be better than starting the back-to-school season with a high-flying leak? For this Thursday, September 1, 2022, it is the next episode of Assassin's Creed which has just seen its first images end up on the internet. The offending ? Ubisoft itself, or rather the person who was responsible for uploading the first elements of the game to the Ubi Store, since it was via the publisher's online store that the first visuals appeared. We see our assassin from behind, facing a majestic door where a big threat awaits him. If we refer to the second image which has mentions, it would actually be the visual used for one of the DLC to come for this Assassin's Creed Mirage. Additional content that would allow us to play a quest related to the story of Ali Baba and the 40 thieves. Suffice to say that the return to the first lands of the saga has enormously thrilled the fans of the first hour on social networks.

As a result, the rumors that had announced the name of Assassin's Creed Rift several months ago were wrong, while YouTuber J0nathan hit the bull's eye with his video published a few days ago. According to the information peddled by the latter, this Assassin's Creed Mirage will be an opportunity for Ubisoft to make its redemption by returning to the origins of the saga, i.e. fewer RPG aspects and more of a classic adventure as we knew them at the beginning of the series. It would also seem, and this is confirmed by these first images, that history will transport us to Baghdad, in the 860th century. The scenario could indeed be between 870 and XNUMX in full anarchy of Samarra, period during which the Abbasid caliphate is marked by an extreme internal instability and by the violent succession of four caliphs, who will become puppets in the hands of powerful rival military groups.



Still according to information from J0nathan, Bassim would be the assassin of this episode, he whom we had been able to discover at the end of Assassin's Creed Valhalla, but whose shenanigans we will keep quiet so as not to spoil the story for you. Obviously, with this return to basics wanted by the developers of Ubisoft Montreal, the first Assassin's Creed would have been a source of inspiration. The vision of the eagle would thus make its return to the game, with the added bonus of the introduction of the vision of Loki, which obviously refers to what the character of Basim really is in the episode Valhalla. Regarding the RPG aspects that have been removed, it is specified that there will no longer be dialogues with multiple answers, the absence of a gender change for the character (no female version of Bassim in other words) and the removal of the progression system that many had hated in the series. A return to the first love of the series which would also be linked with another big rumor: the secret preparation of a remake of the very first Assassin's Creed with the great Altaïr…
