Fortnite is slowly adding new NPCs to the map for Chapter 2 Season 8. With their latest patch update (v18.30), they brought three new NPCs to the island.

On the map above, you can see this Sledgehammer northwest of Holly Hedges. You'll find it at the southern tip of the chunk of crashed Alien Mothership. It's a wide open space with little cover, so it might be a good idea to take a vehicle to get around the area. Alternatively, you can take an Alien Jump vent to quickly escape if someone spots you.
Since NPCs have patrol paths, Sledgehammer may move around the area and the image may not represent their exact location. The easiest way to find an NPC once you get close to their approximate location is to look for the Chat Bubble icon on your minimap. This icon represents available NPCs nearby. Walk towards this icon and you can find Sledgehammer.
